Alopua Petoa (born January 24, 1990 in Nauru ) is a Tuvaluan soccer player who has been playing for Waitakere City FC and also for the Tuvaluan national soccer team since February 2013 . He acts in the position of the striker .

Career

Alopua has played for Tofaga FC since he was a teenager . Since October 2012, Alopua played together with the other Tuvaluan international Vaisua Liva for the Dutch amateur club Vv Brabantia . There they played for the second team for three months. Since February 2013 he has been playing with Vaisua Liva for Waitakere City FC.

National team

Alopua made his debut for Tuvalu in the friendly against Samoa , where he scored three goals. Five days later, in the first game of the Pacific Games , he scored against American Samoa again three times, the final score was 4-0. In the Tuvaluan national team , Alopua is the record scorer with 6 goals from 5 appearances.
