Yaren (formerly Jarren ; also Makwa or Moqua ), Nauru district , is the seat of the government institutions of Nauru , but contrary to popular belief it is not the capital , as there is no official capital on Nauru. Sometimes Aiwo is also given as the unofficial capital, but Yaren is generally regarded as the so-called "main district". He belongs to the constituency of the same name Yaren . Internationally, Yaren is known as the only Nauruan city with 5100 inhabitants, which consists of the largest contiguous settlement in the south-west of the country. Within Naurus, however, Yaren is considered a district with 747 inhabitants and an area of 1.5 km². It is bordered by Boe to the northwest, Buada to the north and Meneng to the east.
