Denigomodu ( Denig for short , rarely Dinegomudu ) is a district of the island state of Nauru , in the west of the island . It borders on Nibok in the northeast and Aiwo and Buada in the south. The district belongs to the constituency of Ubenide .

This district is where the foreign phosphate mine workers stay. It has 1,889 inhabitants, 1,497 of whom live in the working-class district (referred to as a location by the census ). Since Denigomodu is the only hospital on the island, Denigomodu is the birthplace of almost all Nauru people.
