Alphons Schott

Alphons Schott (born August 26, 1857 in Kilstedt , † after 1918) was a doctor, medical adviser and member of the second chamber of the regional parliament of the Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine for the center .

Alphons Schott, who was a Catholic denomination, attended the Catholic village school, the Episcopal grammar school in Strasbourg from 1871 to 1875, the Lycée Nancy from 1874 to 1875 and the Protestant grammar school in Strasbourg from 1875 to 1877. He then studied medicine in Strasbourg, passed the state examination in 1882 and was awarded a Dr. med is doing his doctorate. He worked as a cantonal doctor in Selz from 1882 to 1884, as a general practitioner in Weißenburg from 1884 to 1898, and from 1898 in Schlettstadt .

From 1902 to 1908 he was a member of the local council of Schlettstadt and from 1903 to 1911 the regional committee.

In the first (and only) election to the state parliament, he ran as a candidate for the center in the Barr-Weiler constituency. In the first ballot, 6014 votes were cast in the constituency out of the 7731 eligible voters. Schott received 3720 votes , the liberal candidate Walter 1320 and the Social Democrats Single 903 votes. Alphons Schott was a member of the state parliament until 1918.
