Alphonse Emmanuel Deschamps

Alphonse Emmanuel Deschamps (born July 12, 1874 in Sainte-Geneviève-de-Jacques Cartier , Canada ; † June 23, 1940 ) was a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Montréal .


Alphonse Emmanuel Deschamps received on 23 December 1899, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 6, 1925, Pope Pius XI appointed him . as titular bishop of Thennesus and auxiliary bishop in Montréal. The Coadjutor Archbishop of Montréal, Georges Gauthier , donated him episcopal ordination on April 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Joliette , Joseph-Guillaume-Laurent Forbes , and the auxiliary bishop in Sherbrooke , Alphonse-Osias Gagnon .
