The Alsford Bay is a small bay on the north coast of South Georgia . It lies there between Briggs Point and Cape George in the northeast of the Godthul .
It was mapped between 1928 and 1930 by scientists from the British Discovery Investigations . They named them after WB Alsford of the Royal Navy , stoker on the RSS Discovery from 1925 to 1927 and member of the surveying team.
