The house with the postal address Alter Markt 16 is a listed building in the Hanseatic city of Stralsund on the Alter Markt on the corner of Fährstraße .
The core of the building dates from 1758. At the beginning of the 19th century, the facade of the house was redesigned and reshaped in a classical style, as evidenced by the pilaster- framed portal to the old market and the triangular gable to Fährstraße. The facade on the ground floor was rusticated in the late 19th century .

The house is located in the core area of the city area recognized by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage site of the “ historic old towns of Stralsund and Wismar ”. It is entered with the number 17 in the list of architectural monuments in Stralsund .
