Alternative för Sverige ( AfS for short , German: Alternative for Sweden ) is a right-wing populist political party in Sweden .

history

The party is based on an initiative by members of the Sweden Democrats ' youth organization , who were collectively excluded from them in 2015; including several members of the Reichstag who continued to be represented in the Reichstag as independent candidates until the end of the legislative period. At the beginning of March 2018 it was announced that a party called "Alternative for Sweden" was formed from this, which would run for the upcoming Reichstag elections in autumn 2018 .

Political classification

The Alternative För Sverige advocates remigration of migrants, no interventions , Sweden's withdrawal from the European Union , a flat tax , opposition to NATO and z. B. Improved animal rights. The party positions itself to the right of the right-wing populist Sweden Democrats . Party chairman Gustav Kasselstrand claims to be inspired by parties like Alternative für Deutschland , the Freedom Party of Austria and the French Rassemblement National . The party took part in the 2018 Reichstag elections with a list of 50 candidates in all constituencies. She achieved a result of 0.3 percent of the vote and did not win any seats in parliament.
