description

The simple Georgian style building was designed and built by Thomas Telford in 1828 at a cost of £ 728. Six lattice windows are symmetrically arranged along the front of the two-story house. Like the building edges, these are set off with red sandstone. A one-story annex emerges centrally to the rear. Both wings end with slate-covered gable roofs . A short, one-story extension with a hipped roof emerges on the west side . All facades are plastered using the traditional Harling technique. The two-story main building measures 12.7 × 6.15 m², with the walls being an average of 60 cm thick.
