Alukönigstahl is a pan-European company based in Vienna . It is owned by the König family in the fourth generation. Alukönigstahl is a provider of total system solutions in the areas of windows, doors, facades and light roofs. The König Group currently employs around 900 people across Europe and is active in 17 countries. An alliance has existed with the system manufacturers Schüco and Jansen since the 1960s .
history
The company was founded in 1864 by Jakob König as an iron trade in Retz . In the course of time, the main business increasingly shifted to the trade in aluminum and steel profile systems. In the twenties the head office was relocated to Vienna . In 1989 the company moved to its current location in the 15th district of Vienna . The logistics center and the steel division are located in Wiener Neudorf .
In 1999 the Königfrankstahl joint venture was founded by Alukönigstahl and Frankstahl . Further joint ventures followed in Budapest (2001), Bratislava (2002) and Bucharest (2006).
In 2012, Alukönigstahl (partly together with Königfrankstahl) took over the CEE holdings of the insolvent stainless steel trader Bogner Edelstahl in the Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary and Romania. In the same year Königstahl and the Italian steel trading company CTA founded the KönigCTA joint venture. Philip König has been CEO of König Holding AG since 2013.
Products
Alukönigstahl is a supplier of aluminum, steel and plastic systems. In the field of steel and bridge construction, machine and plant construction as well as vehicle and shipbuilding , the company offers hot and cold-finished hollow steel profiles, shaped tubes and round tubes under the RHS brand.
