Alvar Johannes Alev (born September 29, 1993 ) is an Estonian cross-country skier .

Career

Alev, who starts for the Joulu ski club, ran his first races in the Scandinavian Cup in Keuruu in February 2011 , which he placed in 139th place over 15 km classic, 92nd place in the pursuit and 88th place in Sprint finished. He made his debut in the World Cup in January 2012 in Otepää , which he finished in 65th place in the sprint. His best placings at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum were 39th place over 10 km classic and 15th place with the relay and at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2013 in Liberec the 20th place over 10 km freestyle and 11th place Rank with the relay. At the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Val di Fiemme , he finished 51st place over 15 km classic, 45th place in skiathlon and 35th place in sprint, and at the U23 World Championships 2015 in Almaty , he took 46th place over 15th km freestyle and in skiathlon and 35th place in sprint. The following year he won the 49th place in the sprint at the U23 World Championships in Râşnov , 34th place over 15 km freestyle and 32nd place over 15 km classic. At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Lahti in February 2017 , he came in 50th place in the skiathlon. In January 2018 he became the Estonian champion over 15 km freestyle in Haanja . In the 2019/20 season he won the Balkan Cup in Zlatibor over 10 km classic and in the sprint and Slavic Cup in Štrbské Pleso over 15 km classic.
