Alwyn Rice Jones

Alwyn Rice Jones (born March 25, 1934 in Capel Curig , Caernarvonshire , † August 12, 2007 ) was an Anglican Bishop of the Church in Wales .

Life

Jones studied Anglican theology at St Michael's College , Llandaff , Cardiff . He was ordained a deacon in 1958 and a priest in 1959. From 1975 to 1979 he was Vicar of Porthmadog . He was Bishop of St Asaph from 1982 to 1999. From 1991 to 1999, Jones was Archbishop of the Church in Wales.
