The building at Am Diek 54 is a historic and now listed villa in the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Location and description

The villa is located in the east of the city in the Oberbarmen district in the Wichlinghausen-Süd residential area , a few hundred meters east of the Wichlinghauser Markt on Am Diek street (house number 54), corner of Breslauer Straße . The street Am Diek was historically called Diekerstraße .

The two-storey residential building in wall construction was built in the classical style . The facade is plastered (partly ashlar plaster ) and is currently painted beige . The building was built in the 18th or 19th century, the sources for it are contradicting. Today the villa is privately owned and inhabited. The building in its entirety with the wrought iron fence was added to the list of monuments of the city of Wuppertal on January 28, 1985 .
