At the Kütertor (Stralsund)
The road on Kütertor is a city street in the city 's Old Town in Stralsund . The street connects Heilgeiststraße , Mühlenstraße and Bielkenhagen at Kütertor with Knieperwall . It is one of the shortest streets in Stralsund and is part of the core area of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Historic Old Towns Stralsund and Wismar .
The butchers , called Küter , gave the gate and the street their name. The so-called water art was built here; it served to supply the city with water.
Three of the buildings are under monument protection (see also list of architectural monuments in Stralsund ): the houses Am Kütertor 1 , Am Kütertor 2/3 and Am Kütertor 4 .
The street is designated as a one-way street .
