Courtyard

The courtyard at the chapel 19 is located in the Honschaft (district) Hilderath the district Rheindahlen land in District West (until 22 October 2009 Rheindahlen ) in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ). The courtyard was built in 1754. It was entered under No. A 050 on December 15, 1987 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

location

The property is located on the northeastern edge of Hilderath, north of a square-like widening of the street into which four paths flow.

architecture

South-facing, eaves, two-storey and plastered former farmhouse under a tiled half-hip roof . Five-axis building, the residential part with a basement is in the east of the house and consists of three window axes, in the middle of which is the house entrance, which can be reached via a step. This is by Stuckrahmung with profiled, above the keystone cranked architrave highlighted and Stuckaturfeld (with house sign?).

In the western part of the house is the former business part with a basket-arched, stucco-framed threshing floor entrance whose abutments and keystones are highlighted. Archivolts above the detached base flank the gate walls . Wheel deflector from Blaustein protect the building corners of the gate.

Another window axis connects to the west. Wall anchors mark the ceiling joist layers above the ground and upper floors. On the ground floor they show the year “17” on both sides of the gate, and the year “54” on both sides of the front door. The time the yard was built should therefore refer to the year 1754. The east gable shows two windows on each floor, with two small windows illuminating and ventilating the roof space. All windows - with the exception of the attic windows - have shutters . The west gable is largely closed as the weather side of the house. Only on the ground floor is there a subsequently added door opening; there is another window opening on the upper and attic floors.

The north side is a wide roof overhang and - next to the old courtyard door and a few small ventilation windows in the jamb - a modern changing window opening on the ground floor. Inside, the old room structure has been preserved, equipment details are missing.
