The street Am Nonnenberg was named after the mayor Dr. jur. Simon Hermann Nonnen (1777–1847). Nun was a lawyer, then in 1806 councilor or senator in Bremen and in 1822 mayor of Bremen until his death . The expansion of the Chausseen and the establishment of the Sparkasse Bremen (1838) were significant with a multitude of tasks and offices. He donated the Nonnenberg , a sand hill of his estate in Oslebshausen, to the city.

development

Oslebshausen was a small village with 199 inhabitants around 1812, which changed completely after the construction of the neighboring ports and industrial plants. The road connection from the Oslebshauser Heerstraße to the Alte Heerstraße led past the Korff's Holz estate and became an important cross-connection in Oslebshausen. The manor park of the petroleum merchant Wilhelm August Korff (1845-1914) became Oslebshauser Park from 1931 .

After the Second World War , intensive residential development took place in the district badly affected by the war. 2007 Oslebshausen had 8,585 inhabitants. In 1977 the community center Oslebshausen was built as the third Bremen community center .
