Amaenai de yo !! ( Japanese. あ ま え な い で よ っ !! , Eng. "Don't be so spoiled !!", cf. Amae ) is a manga series by the Japanese illustrator Toshinori Sogabe ( 宗 我 部 と し し の り ), which was also implemented in 2005 as a thirteen-part anime series . The series, which can be assigned to the His , Moe and Bishōjo genre, works with comedic and erotic ( Etchi ) elements. In 2006, under the title Amaenai de yo !! Katsu !! released a thirteen episode sequel to the anime.
action
In a fictional Buddhist temple in Japan there is a novice named Ikkō and six novices next to an old master. Their main tasks, in addition to daily housework and attending high school, are driving out spirits, usually by reciting sutras . Ghosts can appear as normal people in this world; they do not rest in peace because they are still attached to worldly tasks, wishes or desires. In the course of the series, the main characters solve numerous tasks that mostly require Ikkō's special skills.
Ikkō is an extremely lustful and lazy boy who was brought into the monastery by his grandmother, the old master Jōtoku-baa. Ikkō possesses tremendous powers that have been passed on to him in an unexplained manner by a deceased grandmaster who acquired these powers by giving up all desires, which is an important goal of Buddhism. Ikkō can awaken these powers by increasing his sexual desire tremendously. In practice, this means that one of the “novices” undresses (or gets her clothes ripped off), and Ikkō's powers are awakened by the sight of bare breasts in order to defeat the upcoming opponent with ease or finally “in peace” to let rest ”.
In addition to this main storyline, a special relationship develops between Ikkō and Chitose, the girl who is usually undressed. Ikkō is abused in principle as an "idiot for everything" and is also constantly referred to as an idiot and beaten because he is repeatedly involved in embarrassing situations for the girls. While Chitose, who is a nice girl but loves horror films, pretends to hate Ikkō to the blood, but it turns out that she actually does like him.
Characters
Each of the six main female characters, who are 15 or 16 years old, represents one of the " six realms " of Buddhist mythology and has corresponding powers and character traits.
Chitose represents the "human realm", the boyish Yūko, who belongs to numerous martial arts clubs and is constantly involved in fights with obscure gangs, the Asura realm. Haruka, who at 17 years of age is the oldest of the six girls and has extremely strong exorcistic powers, represents the realm of the Deva . The always polite and courteous Sumi represents the "realm of animals", while Sakura, who is interested in technology and politics, can eat unbelievable amounts without getting fat and is chair of the student committee, represents the "realm of hunger ghosts ". Hinata, who represents the "realm of demons", is the youngest at the age of 13, Sakura's sister and has a small fire-breathing demon, which she usually carries on her shoulder. She is always extremely quiet, speaks very quietly and directly and extremely often only single words, which mostly create funny situations because of their directness and lack of emotion.
Etchi content
Amaenai de yo !! contains many sexual allusions, whereby it is explicitly ensured that the sex organs and breasts are always only partially shown in order to avoid the classification as hentai and thus the restriction of being able to be published exclusively on DVD. Nipples are only shown in the 13th episode, a special episode. In addition to these allusions, there are many situations that are common for etchi anime. For example, girls are shown changing clothes and thieves steal the girls' underwear.
Publications
Amaenai de yo !! appeared in Japan from 2003 to 2007 in individual chapters in Wani Books ' manga magazine Comic Gum , in which, among other things, Dragon Girls by Yuji Shiozaki and Mahoromatic by Bow Ditama and Bunjūrō Nakayama were published. Wani Books published these individual chapters from March 25, 2004 to February 24, 2007 at regular intervals in the form of seven edited volumes.
