Studio Deen ( Japanese 株式会社 ス タ ジ オ デ ィ ー ン , Kabushiki-gaisha Sutajio Dīn , English Studio Deen Co., Ltd. ) is a Japanese production studio for anime . It was founded in 1975 , three years after the Sunrise studio was founded , by some Sunrise employees. The studio's name "Deen" comes from the studio's first order. Sunrise, the creators of the Gundam Universe, commissioned the newly founded studio in 1975 to color the anime series Yūsha Raideen , from which "Deen" emerged as the studio name.

At the moment there are around seventy permanent employees working in the studio, who are spread across the various areas such as 3D-CGI, animation, production, post-production, editing and the areas of management, merchandise, sales and office. In addition to the permanent employees, there are around 150 freelancers.

The current president and founder of the studio is Hiroshi Hasegawa .
