reception

According to Irene Salzmann from Splashcomics, the light novel is aimed primarily at girls aged 13 and over and is kept in a simple style, both graphically and linguistically. Nevertheless, the drawings are appealing and the translation is of high quality. The series relies on a mixture of student milieu, fantasy and comedy , similar to Inu Yasha , In A Distant Time and Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden . The approach of dealing with the conflict between demons and humans, prejudice, hatred and intrigue, but soon stepped behind the conflicts between the characters and the humor. Despite the tendencies of the main male characters to each other, from now on Demon King is not a Shōnen-Ai , but these allusions are often a means of humor. The work offers a lot of fun with the usual Manga elements, especially for younger readers.
