Asuka ( Japanese 月刊 あ す か , Gekkan Asuka ) is a Japanese manga magazine that is aimed at a young female audience and therefore belongs to the Shōjo category. It focuses on fantasy and science fiction series, often related to anime series. Some series can also be assigned to the Boys' Love genre or contain allusions to it. Asuka has been published every 24th monthly by Kadokawa Shoten since 1985 . The sister magazines Asuka Comics CL-Deluxe , Asuka Comics DX and Monthly Asuka Fantasy DX are also published by the same publisher .
