Yukiru Sugisaki ( Japanese 杉 崎 ゆ き る , Sugisaki Yukiru ; born December 26, 1974) is a Japanese manga artist .

Life

After she had won a young talent award from the manga magazine Asuka , she published her first work Namaiki no “N” there in 1995 . For the same magazine that publishes the Kadokawa-Shoten- Verlag, she drew her first long work from 1996 to 1997, the approximately 850 pages in five volumes Sotsugyō M , based on the story of Kei Arisugawa .

Since November 1997 , Sugisaki's Shōjo manga D · N · Angel has appeared in Asuka , which is aimed at young girls . This already comprises over 1,600 pages in eleven volumes and tells of a fourteen-year-old who, when drawn to a girl, turns into a sought-after master thief. The manga was also implemented as an anime television series and, as in Japan, was a commercial success in several countries. This was followed by the science fiction manga Candidate for Goddess from 1997 to 2001 for the his magazine Comic Gum, which is primarily aimed at adult men, at Wani Books publishing house. The manga was also implemented as an anime, but not completed by the artist. For another magazine designed for a male readership, Shōnen Ace , she worked on Brain Powerd from 1998 to 2001 .

In addition to Lagoon Engine , on which she has been drawing for Asuka since 2001 , and its spin-off Lagoon Engine Einsatz , she designed the manga Rizelmine in 2002 , to which a 24-part television series was also broadcast on Japanese television. Since October 2006 Sugisakis Manga Eden is also published in Shōnen Ace .

Sugisaki's works, which are published in German by Carlsen Comics , mostly contain Bishōnen characters and allusions to love affairs between male characters. The author depicts herself wearing a rabbit mask. In addition to her work as a professional manga artist, she also publishes dōjinshi , for example a work on the anime Vision of Escaflowne from her pen is known.
