Amanda Dyar

Amanda Leslie Dyar (born January 6, 1982 in Galveston , Texas ) is an American actress , mental health counselor, comic book artist , writer , director and scream queen .

Life

Born in South Texas, Dyar grew up in Alabama , Tennessee for most of her youth . Where she played American football at the local high school for some time . Dyar wrote her first short story when she was only 6 years old and shortly afterwards published several books with the collection of her writings. She completed her pre-law degree at the age of 17 and attended several colleges for the next 10 years, where she earned four further degrees.

Writer / publishing career

After graduating from college, she started her own publication in gaming and horror. She then founded her first magazine BioGamer Girl, where she now works as Editor in Chief . In which Dyar writes her expertise in gaming, she also writes various publications for America's horror magazine Fangoria . In 2012 she won the “Goldilocks in Zombie Land” cosplay contest for her photography as “Bo Peep” and will be on the cover of the Goldilocks in Zombie Land comic series. In 2012, she was the template for a cartoon character in Richard Zerga and Kristi Elizabeth Zerga's The Birds parody comic book Squirrel.

Film career

She also published various comics and began advancing her film career. In 2010 she began her directing career with the short film "Growing Up Zombie!", A year later Dyar got her first role as an actress in Steven Soderbergh's Contagion .

Private

Their two children, Seth and Alissa Worley, have mostly played the leading roles in their films since 2010 and sometimes also work in the crew.
