Amanda Valentine
Amanda "Mandy" Valentine (born July 25, 1990 in Ottawa ) is a Canadian - German figure skater .
biography
Mandy Valentine is the daughter of former Canadian ice hockey professional Chris Valentine . She began figure skating at the age of five in Düsseldorf , where her father was a dedicated player and coach. As a result of his move to Adler Mannheim , Mandy also started for the Mannheim ERC from 1999. The runner trained by Günter Zöller won the national championship title twice in a row in her age group.
Chris Valentine ended his coaching career in Germany in 2003 and went back to Canada with his family. Since then, Mandy Valentine has lived in Kanata , a suburb of Ottawa . For the Nepean Figure Skating Club , she took part in national and international junior competitions. Until 2008/09 she trained with Joanne McLeod at the BC Center of Excellence in Burnaby and started for the North Shore Winter Club .
