Amandus copper

August Amandus Kupfer (born April 3, 1879 in Alsum , Lehe district , Prussia , † March 20, 1952 in Schwaig near Nuremberg ) was a German writer and publisher.

Life

Amandus Kupfer founded self-publishers in Kattowitz (Upper Silesia) in 1911 and in Hof (Saale) in 1916, and a publishing house in Schwaig near Nuremberg in 1919. There he published his own works as well as some works by Carl Huter on psycho- physiognomics .

After Carl Huter's death, Käthe and Amandus Kupfer and their publishing house advocated his teaching.

Amandus Kupfer escaped imprisonment during the Third Reich . The Gestapo and other authorities of the Third Reich had recognized the contradiction of the teachings of Carl Huter to National Socialism . After the war, the Kupfer family rebuilt their publishing house in Schwaig near Nuremberg. In 1987 the publishing house was sold to Switzerland.
