Amandyq Batalow

Amandyq Ghabbasuly Batalow ( Kazakh Амандық Ғаббасұлы Баталов , Russian Амандык Габбасович Баталов ; born November 22, 1952 in Nukus , Uzbek SSR ) is a Kazakh politician.

Life

Amandyq Batalow was born in Nukus in what is now Karakalpakistan in 1952. He studied at the Jambul Irrigation Institute , which he graduated in 1975. He then worked for a company between 1981 and 1985.

From 1985 to 1987 he served on the Lenininsky District Regional Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan and on the Party's city committee in Alma-Ata . Until 1989 he was the chairman of the regional committee of the union of construction workers. Subsequently, from 1989 to 1991 he was a specialist in the building materials industry of the administrative department of the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR and until 1992 an employee of the department of building and building materials industry at the office of the President of the Kazakh SSR.

Between 1994 and 1996, Batalow was the deputy head of the Kalininski District Administration of Almaty. From 1994 to 1995 he was the head of the Lenininsky District Administration and from 1995 to 2001 he was Äkim (Mayor) of the Shetissu District. From June 2001 he was deputy Äkim of the Almaty region and from April 2008 first deputy Äkim. Since August 20, 2014 he has been the Äkim of the Almaty region.
