Ambiente (radio broadcast)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Ambiente - The Art of Travel is the title of a travel magazine for the Austrian ORF radio program Ö1 . The weekly radio series was founded in 1987 and has been part of Ö1's regular program ever since . The series consists of travel reports in the form of features , each individual episode lasts 55 minutes. The columnist travel reports are supplemented with music from the regions visited.

Since the beginning of the series in November 1987, Ambiente has been broadcast once a week on Sundays at 10:05 a.m. and - since a change in the program schedule that occurred on January 1, 2010 - also repeated the following week on Tuesdays at 4:00 p.m.

The co-founder of the travel magazine was the Ö1 culture editor Ursula Burkert, who has been the production manager for the magazine since 1991. The Austrian actor Helmut Berger has been the spokesperson for the series since 2006 .

At the same time, Ambiente is the "acoustic travel companion" for the Ö1 study and cultural trips , which are designed and accompanied by Ö1 editors. Individual magazine programs were taken over by other broadcasters ; For example, the China travel feature broadcast in 2009 by Christina Höfferer, fat-bellied Buddha seeks refuge for the soul on the summit that has been flown to. Stations on a journey through the Middle Kingdom, broadcast again in November 2010 by the German-language program of the Italian radio station Rai Sender Bozen . The media reported regularly about individual programs of the travel magazine.
