Ambra Gutierrez

Ambra Battilana Gutierrez (born May 15, 1992 in Turin , Italy ) is an Italian model . She was Miss Piedmont 2010, and in the same year she was a finalist in the Miss Italy election .

Life

2010-2014

On August 22, 2010 she was present at one of those infamous bunga-bunga parties that took place in the Villa San Martino of the then Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi in Arcore . She was previously spotted at a beauty pageant and told that she was guaranteed to get a well-paying weather announcer job if she went to a party. As soon as she realized it was a sex party, she left the event early. As a voluntary witness, she testified to the Italian public prosecutor in April 2011 about what had happened there. In the course of the Rubygate process, the landlord Berlusconi once again described the bunga-bunga parties as elegant dinners, after which there would have been harmless “ burlesque spectacles”. He could exclude scenes of a sexual nature; And anyway, the expression “Bunga Bunga” would have been just a running gag of his, which at some point would have become independent through the press. Berlusconi was found guilty in the first instance, but the subsequent instances found an acquittal.

In February 2014, Berlusconi claimed that the lawyer Patrizia Bugnano had manipulated the witnesses Ambra Battilana and Chiara Danese. The lawyer then sued for defamation for half a million euros. Before going to court, he made a payment of an unknown amount, after which the lawsuit was withdrawn and the case dropped.

2015-2016

Gutierrez received extensive media coverage after she revealed that Harvey Weinstein groped her while going through her portfolio in 2015. She reported the incident to the police that same night. The next day when she spoke to Weinstein, the police had wired her beforehand. The sound recording was released in 2017.

Despite the incriminating audio recording, District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. decided not to bring charges for lack of evidence. In the months that followed, Gutierrez received bad press from the tabloid media, which repeatedly cited anonymous sources. Thereupon she got no more modeling orders. On the advice of her lawyer, she eventually signed an 18-page confidentiality agreement with Weinstein. Due to a lack of sufficient knowledge of English, she barely understood the agreement, which was written in legal terminology . She signed to protect herself and her family as no one seemed to believe her.

Archstone Pictures acquired the film rights to her life story in 2016.

2017-2018

When the Weinstein scandal became public in October 2017 , Gutierrez saw himself rehabilitated.

In spring 2018 she ran on the catwalk for designer Rocco Barocco at Milan Fashion Week .

On February 28 and March 1, 2018, the Italian daily Il Fatto Quotidiano published an exclusive interview with her in two parts, which she had given Asia Argento .
