Ambrosius Seibaeus
Ambrosius Seibaeus (* 1571 ; † November 20, 1644 ) was a German priest and auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Mainz . In 1597 he was ordained a priest . On May 22, 1623 he was appointed titular bishop of Misenum and auxiliary bishop of the diocese of Mainz . The episcopal ordination took place on July 23, 1623 .
On March 25, 1636, after being relocated due to the war, supported by two abbots and under the entourage of Elector Anselm Casimir Wambolt von Umstadt , he carried the so-called Mainzer Gnadenkreuz from the city church of St. Christoph back to the Holy Cross Monastery in a solemn procession .
