American Railcar Industries (ARI) is an American manufacturer of freight cars . The company has plants in Paragould and Marmaduke, both Arkansas .
With 60%, Carl Icahn is the main shareholder in American Railcar Industries. A large part of the production goes to American Railcar Leasing .
Tank trucks, pressurized gas trucks and covered self-unloading trucks are manufactured. Together with Greenbrier and Amsted Industries , ARI operates the Ohio Castings foundry in Alliance and, together with Amsted, the wheelset manufacturer Axis LLC .
