Amir Kassaei (* 1968 in Tehran , Iran ) is an Austrian creative and entrepreneur, investor, speaker and former creative director. He was President of the Art Directors Club of Germany and the Art Directors Club of Europe and President of the Film Jury at the Lions Festival in Cannes.

Life

Born in Iran, grew up in Austria and trained in France, Amir Kassaei settled in Germany in 1997 and gained experience in various positions early in his career - from account manager to strategic planner to art director and designer at agencies such as TBWA , Barci & Partner and Springer & Jacoby . At Springer & Jacoby, Kassaei advanced from copywriter to creative director and ultimately to executive creative director for global clients Mercedes-Benz and Smart .

In 2003, Amir Kassaei joined DDB Worldwide as Chief Creative Officer and Associate Partner of DDB Germany . After joining the agency as one of the youngest chief creative officers in history, he quickly transformed it into one of the most creative and successful agencies in the world. Between 2011 and 2019, Kassaei was the youngest and first non-American Global Chief Creative Officer to head DDB Worldwide with 250 offices and 18,000 employees. During this time, DDB was one of the most internationally awarded and most innovative advertising networks. Amir Kassaei is one of the world's best advertising managers.

In 2017 he founded the agency C14torce (pronounced: Catorce) in Barcelona , Spain, which he had set up exclusively for the car brand Seat . Under his leadership, Seat became the fastest growing car brand in Europe and the Seat brand became one of the most popular car brands in the world. At the end of 2019, C14torce had more than 400 employees with offices in Spain, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Poland.

During his career in the creative industries, Kassaei and his teams have received more than 4,000 awards including 140 Cannes Lions.

In 2020 and after around 30 years in the industry, Amir Kassaei retired from the advertising industry. Today he is a company founder, investor, author and speaker. Most recently he founded the architecture and design company Buresq. The Loft BuresQ in Barcelona was awarded the Frame Award 2020. Kassaei is also working on his fashion brand H4H and building The Maniacs, a content production company that will, among other things, supply streaming services.
