The Amisk River ( amisk is the Cree word for " beaver ") is a right tributary of the Beaver River in the Canadian province of Alberta .

The Amisk River has its origin in Long Lake in the 7.68 km² Long Lake Provincial Park . Initially, the Amisk River flows in a northeastern direction. It flows through Amisk Lake , the discharge of which is regulated, and continues its course in a predominantly easterly direction. After about 70 km it meets the Beaver River coming from the north. The catchment area of the Amisk River covers approx. 2510 km². The mean discharge is 2.1 m³ / s.
