Ammar al-Saifi gained his first international experience at the Junior Asian Championships 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City , where he reached the final with the Omani 4 x 100 meter relay, but did not start there. Two years later he made it to the finals at the Asian Junior Championships in Gifu in the 100-meter run , in which he did not start. With the relay he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta and was eliminated there with 39.76 s in the lead. The following year he came in at the Arab Championships in Cairo in 10.71 s in seventh place over 100 meters and won bronze with the relay. At the subsequent Asian Championships in Doha , he won the bronze medal behind the teams from Thailand and Taiwan with the relay in 39.36 s.
