On July 27, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. there was an argument between Nikola Radosavljević and his wife Jelena. He beat her, which started the massacre.

Around 5:30 p.m. Nikola took to the street with his hunting rifle , for which he had a valid gun license. When he reached house number 89, he shot Veljko Đorđević (58) and his son Dragan (22), shortly afterwards his sister-in-law Marina Kutkuregović (70), who died a little later. In the next house, the married couple Branislav (57) and Draginja Borongić (55) became his victims. After he committed the crime, Nikola met an old local woman on the street. He asked her if she was doing Wallachian magic . Since she said no, he left her unmolested.

Next, Nikola shot his cousin Pera Vujić, who was seriously injured in the process but survived. In house number 83 he shot Srđan Badžikić (15) and injured Siniša Badžikić (36). In the house opposite he killed Branislav Badejević (22) and slightly injured Vanuca Badejević (70). He found his last two victims in houses number 71 and 80, where he shot Jelica Banković (37) and his brother's sister-in-law, Anika Čogić (62).

Nikola Radosavljević attempted suicide at the family grave in the village cemetery, but it failed.

At 1:30 a.m. on July 28, Nikola was arrested by the Serbian police, who were intensively searching for him with helicopters . He was admitted to the Negotin hospital where he was given first aid. He was later operated on in the Niš hospital .
