Intelsat 24 is a commercial communications satellite operated by the satellite operator Intelsat . It was launched in 1996 under the name Amos 1 for Space Communication Ltd (Spacecom) based in Israel and positioned at 4 ° West. In autumn 2009 the satellite was moved to the position 47.3 ° East and renamed Intelsat 24 .
On board were u. a. 450 kg of a fuel mixture of monomethylhydrazine and MON-3 .

The satellite can be received in Europe and the Middle East , the transmission takes place in the Ku band .
