Amos 3 (also called AMOS-60 ) is a television satellite operated by Spacecom , based in Israel . It was launched on April 28, 2008 aboard a Zenit 3SLB rocket from the Baikonur spaceport .

The satellite is based on Amos 2 , but has been equipped with improved electronics. He was to be moved to a position of 4 degrees west to replace Amos 1 .

Amos 3 can be received in Europe and the Middle East . Thanks to controllable antennas, it is also possible to supply parts of America. The transmission takes place in the Ku / Ka band .
