Christian Bogislaw von Linden

Christian Bogislaw von Linden (born September 1707 on Gut Broock , Demmin district , Western Pomerania ; † February 7, 1779 ibid) was a royal Prussian officer, most recently in the rank of major general .

Life

He came from the von Linden family, who were ennobled in Swedish Pomerania . His father was Karl von Linden . His mother was a sister of the Prussian Field Marshal Kurt Christoph von Schwerin .

Linden embarked on a military career and in 1756 had the rank of major . After the battle of Kunersdorf he was promoted to colonel because of special achievements . On December 25, 1760, he was the major general and chief Infantry - Regiment . No. appointed 26th He was awarded the Pour le Mérite order .

In 1764 he retired and withdrew to his West Pomeranian estates Broock, Hohenbüssow and Buchholz. Around 1770 he had the baroque Broock Castle built. In 1773 he acquired the Altenhagen and Philipshof estates from the bankruptcy of the von Maltzahn family .

Linden married her first marriage on March 12, 1738 at Gut Terpt ( Brandenburg ) Henriette Sophie von Rohr (born June 14, 1716 at Gut Mahlsdorf ; † June 25, 1769), the daughter of Henning Ewald von Rohr and Margarete Sabine von Göllnitz . Soon after her death, he married Anna Catharina Tugendreich von Heyden (* 1737) for a second marriage (marriage contract of September 22, 1769). Both marriages remained without male offspring. After his death the property fell to his brother Karl Friedrich von Linden.

Christian Bogislaw von Linden was buried like his two wives in a crypt in the church of Alt Tellin .
