The amphibolites Point is a distinctive pyramid-shaped headland on the south coast of Coronation Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located 2.5 km northwest of Saunders Point .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey named it as a result of a survey between 1948 and 1949 after the amphibolite rock found here .
