The Saunders Point is the southern headland of Simeonov Iceland between the amphibolites Point and the Tophet Bastion off the south coast of Coronation Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It limits the entrance to Slanchev Bryag Cove to the west .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped this landmark in 1933. It is named after A. Saunders, who photographed the southern Orkney Islands while on board the RRS Discovery II .
