Amphissus
Amphissus ( Greek Ἄμφισσος ), son of Apollo and Dryope , is a figure in Greek mythology .
His stepfather Andraimon , the son of Oxylos , was considered the founder of the city of Amphissa in the Ozolian Lokris . Amphissus was king of Oite , a city on the mountains of the same name in Oitaien , which he had built in honor of his father Apollon; he dedicated a temple there to God. Amphissus also founded a sanctuary for the nymphs , who had once taken in his mother Dryope - as well as games to which women, however, were not allowed.
