Parchim-Land office in Parchim district

In the Parchim-Land office ( Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ), the nine municipalities Groß Godems , Herzfeld , Karrenzin , Matzlow-Garwitz , Rome , Spornitz , Stolpe , Stralendorf and Ziegendorf had been united since 1991 to handle their administrative business. The seat of the official administration was in the non-official district town Parchim . On June 13, 2004, the municipality of Herzfeld was incorporated into Karrenzin, and Stralendorf became part of the municipality of Rome. On July 1, 2004, the Parchim-Land office was dissolved. Since then, the seven remaining municipalities of the office together with the municipalities of the also dissolved Eldetal office form the new office Parchimer Umland .
