The Steyerberg office was a historical administrative area of ​​the county of Hoya and the principality of Calenberg .

history

The office goes back to the Hoyaische border fortress Steyerberg and its accessories, which in 1314 finally came into the possession of the Counts of Hoya and after their extinction (1582) to the Welfs . The small district was expanded in 1709 by the Liebenau office to become a Steyerberg-Liebenau office . In 1829 the office was revoked. The municipalities belonging to the old Steyerberg Office fell to the Stolzenau Office , the municipalities of the former Liebenau Office to the Nienburg Office .
