District Court of Salzhausen

The Salzhausen District Court was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Salzhausen from 1852 to 1859.

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It included the office of Salzhausen . The district court was subordinate to the Lüneburg Higher Court . It was repealed in 1859 and its judicial district was assigned to that of the district court of Winsen (Luhe) .

From 1854 until it was repealed, the court was housed in the newly constructed building at Bahnhofstrasse 5 in Salzhausen. From 1859 to 1907 it was a gendarmerie station. Since then it has housed the Salzhausen Hospital .
