The district court of Medingen (since the incorporation in 1972 district court of Bevensen ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Medingen .

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It included the office of Medingen . The district court was subordinate to the Lüneburg Higher Court . With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia , it became a Prussian district court in the province of Hanover . When it was incorporated into Bevensen in 1972, the court was given the name Bevensen District Court.

In 1977 the state of Lower Saxony bought the listed old district court in Medingen and converted it into a conference center for the Gustav Stresemann Institute .
