The district court of Winsen (Luhe) is one of six district courts in the district of the district court of Lüneburg . It is based in Winsen (Luhe) in the Harburg district in Lower Saxony .

The District Court of Lüneburg is superordinate to the Winsen District Court. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Celle .

The main building of the district court is located in Winsener Castle, first mentioned in 1299 . A branch is located in a new building between the castle and the former prison building.

history

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It comprised the Winsen an der Luhe Office , City of Winsen an der Luhe and Pattensen an der Luhe Office. The district court was subordinate to the Lüneburg Higher Court .

In 1859 the Salzhausen District Court was repealed and its judicial district was assigned to that of the Winsen an der Luhe District Court. With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia , it became a Prussian district court in the province of Hanover .
