The Tostedt district court is one of eight district courts in the Stade district court and is based in Tostedt, Lower Saxony .
Superior courts
The regional court of Stade , the higher regional court of Celle and the Federal Court of Justice in Karlsruhe are superordinate to the Tostedt district court .
Judicial district
The Tostedt district court is spatially responsible for the city of Buchholz and the communities of Hollenstedt , Jesteburg , Neu Wulmstorf , Rosengarten and Tostedt .
history
With the Hanoverian Courts Constitution Act of November 8, 1850, which came into force on October 1, 1852 , administration and justice were finally separated from each other and local courts were created as the lowest courts. So also the Tostedt district court, which was subordinate to the Lüneburg Higher Court . Only shortly afterwards the district court of Lauenbrück was lifted and the Vogtei Tostedt was added. Also in 1852, the Bailiwick of Tostedt was initially assigned to the Moisburg office . After lengthy disputes, the official seat was moved from Moisburg to Tostedt in 1859 and the Tostedt office was created. In 1885, the independent office of Tostedt was subordinated to the Harburg district as part of new districts . The district court was still preserved.
