Lüneburg District Court

The Lüneburg District Court is one of six district courts in the Lüneburg district court. It is based in Lüneburg .

Organization and jurisdiction

In 2004 the district court had a total of 146 employees, including 16 judges and 25 judicial officers. The judicial district of the Lüneburg District Court includes the cities of Lüneburg and Bleckede , the communities of Adendorf and Amt Neuhaus, and the combined communities of Amelinghausen , Bardowick , Dahlenburg , Gellersen , Ilmenau , Ostheide and Scharnebeck . The Lüneburg District Court has around 176,000 court residents . The superordinate court is the Lüneburg Regional Court .

history

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It included the office of Lüne and the city of Lüneburg . The district court was subordinate to the Lüneburg Higher Court . With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia , it became a Prussian district court in the province of Hanover .

Since August 1, 2005, the Lüneburg District Court has been the central register court in the Lüneburg Regional Court district for keeping the register of trade, cooperatives and associations.
