The Speyer District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of six District Courts (AG) in the district of the Frankenthal Regional Court (Pfalz) .
Seat and District of the Court
The court has its seat in the independent city of Speyer . The 187 km² judicial district includes the area of the city of Speyer and the communities of Böhl-Iggelheim , Dudenhofen , Hanhofen , Harthausen , Otterstadt , Römerberg , Schifferstadt and Waldsee . Around 109,000 people live in it.

The court is located at Wormser Straße 41/43 . The main and ancillary buildings of the court were built from yellow sandstone between 1900 and 1902 and are now a listed building . The architect was the royal building officer Otto Bär. The outbuilding used to house the prison.
history
During the French occupation, the original breed police court of the city of Speyer was re-established as a peace court and in 1854 renamed the "regional court". With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the court was given the name "District Court".
