The Amundsenisen ( Norwegian for Amundsen Ice ) is a glaciated region in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located south of the Heimefrontfjella and Kirwanveggen mountains in the southern part of Fimbulheimen and belongs to the Wegenerinland ice sheet .

The name of the region goes back to Norwegian cartographers. It is named after the Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen (1872–1928).
