Amy Redford

Amy Redford (born October 22, 1970 ) is an American actress , film director and film producer .

Life and accomplishments

Amy Redford is a daughter of Robert Redford . She studied at the University of Colorado , and she also studied theater arts in London and San Francisco . The actress made her debut in a major role in the 1999 comedy Giving It Up , which won an award at the New York International Independent Film & Video Festival .

After a few guest appearances in television series and small supporting roles, Redford played major roles in the Independent Spirit Award- nominated film drama Cry Funny Happy (2003), in the thriller This Revolution (2005) and in the numerous festival-prized war drama Strike the Tent (2005). She played one of the leading roles in the drama The Drum Beats Twice (2008), which was released directly on DVD . She directed and co-produced the film drama The Guitar (2008) with Saffron Burrows .
