Ana Lederer

Ana Lederer (born April 12, 1964 in Subotica , Yugoslavia , today Serbia ) is a Croatian theater scholar , theater critic for the magazine Vijenac , publicist and director of the Croatian National Theater in Zagreb (2005-2013) and deputy minister of culture in the government of Tihomir Orešković . Her husband was the war correspondent Gordan Lederer.

She is the daughter of the theater director and theater critic Petar Šarčević and the soprano Marliza. In 1987 she completed a degree in comparative literature and the Russian language . In 2002 she received her doctorate from the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Zagreb . She was a columnist for Glas Slavonije (1992–1993) and producer of the theater documentary program on Croatian Radio (1993–2002), assistant teacher at her alma mater (1991–1999), editor-in-chief of the specialist magazine Kazalište (theater; 2003–2005). She is a member of the executive committee of the right-wing Neovisni za Hrvatsku party .
